Bachelor’s Degree plus at least three years of work experience in the Arts and Culture sector. Strong problem-solving skills, with basic knowledge of special event production and logistics. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Job experience with Social Media is a plus.

Basic Functions      

The Art inTransit Coordinator works with the Director of Art in Transit to plan,coordinate and produce modes of the Art in Transit Program, including: visual art commissions both temporary and permanent, performing arts programming (dance, theater, and live music), and collection conservation/maintenance activities. In addition, the role will be responsible for entering and tracking contracts and payments for the department.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Create and manage requisitions for Artbound purchases/contracts;

2.    Ensure timely vendor invoicing and payment, coordinate vendor badging, vendor registration, and vendor station access as needed;

3.    Manage relationship with Artist Bookings contractor;

4.    Oversight of projects with various visual arts or conservation project partners;

5.    Cultivate partner relationships with artists and arts organizations;

6.    Produce special Arts programming at Stations and other MARTA properties for both Artbound and MARTA special events as requested;

7.    Update and maintain Artbound web pages & social media via Digital Media/External Relations/Communications Departments and external partners;

8.    Administrative tasks, including meeting setup, meeting summaries, and maintain and updateArtbound mailing list and Artbound collection database;

9.    Assist in annual programming and strategy development;

10.  Develop ways to streamline processes and grow/improve the overall Program.

11.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Special Requirements      

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

·Knowledge of Project Management

·Excellent attention to detail

·Web page management

·Record keeping, scheduling & multi-tasking skills
