Jazz Tours Program Assistant
Classification: Regular Full-Time (37.5 hours per week) – Non-Exempt
Reporting directly to the Program Director, Jazz and the Deputy Director for Programs, the Program Assistant is responsible for assisting in implementing the South Arts program, ‘Jazz Road,’ and other programming including, but not limited to, grants, research, convenings, services and activities in all artforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This is a new position within the organization, funded for three years. This position will primarily support the creation and implementation of a jazz tours and residencies-focused national program for individual jazz artists. Program elements include identifying emerging and mid-career jazz artists, and connecting them with traditional and alternative presenters throughout the US for tour and residency projects. The position will also assist with programmatic activities for both individual artists and organizations. The position’s responsibilities include communications, data management, grants management, travel planning, research and customer service.
Salary range: $32,000 – 35,000
