BECOME A ROSE FELLOW

Applications for the 2019-2020 Rose Fellowship are now OPEN!

Apply now for two-year fellowships beginning in October 2019. Application deadline is April 14.

NEW: For the first time in the history of the Rose Fellowship, we are piloting arts fellowships!

For this program, artists are defined as socially-engaged creative practitioners, teaching artists, and culture bearers working in all disciplines – including but not limited to: visual arts, performance, digital media, dance, theater, literary arts and multi-media. Qualification requirements are specified in the work plans below.

The Rose Fellowship partners community-engaged architects and artists with local community development organizations. Together, we facilitate an inclusive approach that creates and preserves sustainable, healthy and affordable communities. Our architectural fellows are designers with an accredited degree in architecture and a passion for applying their skills in a community development context.

For our arts fellowship pilot, we are seeking community-engaged artists, teaching artists or culture bearers in all disciplines – including, but not limited to:

  • Visual and performing arts
  • Traditional and folk arts
  • Digital media
  • Dance
  • Theater
  • Literary arts
  • Multimedia

All fellowship candidates will be prompted to select their preferred location and host organization when they apply. See below for more information about each of the eight host organizations, including detailed work plans and their specified qualifications for fellowships.
